Fund Raising

2018 - Donation to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance

This year we supported a remarkable charity very close to home, after our very own Mary Hindmarch’s life was saved by these incredible people after a horrific car crash. The audience didn’t disappoint - we raised £1,450. Astonishing. Everyone here at VPS are thankful beyond belief to this amazing organisation, for without them we would have lost our dear friend and her loving husband. Thank you so much to them and thank you too, to the ever-generous audience in helping keep this charity flying. Here’s Mary presenting the cheque to Neil Bizzell of the Air Ambulance.

We had a stunning result in the after-show collection - £1,301!! Incredible! Thanks so, so much to everyone who dipped in to their pockets - the generosity is humbling, so thank you. Here's Jim (Bethany) and Penny (Rebecca) presenting Carl & Tanya Appleby the enormous cheque, which is part of their fundraising efforts in memory of their son, Vincent, who passed away through leukemia. The money is heading straight towards the wonderful people at Poole Hospital's Durlston Ward.

2016 - Donation to Mosaic

You generous audience members you! We raised a massive £1,200! Wow! Here's Jo (Belle) and Maddi (Prince Danton) presenting the rather large cheque to a representative from Mosaic - an incredible charity helping children with bereavement. Thank you all so much.

2015 - Donation to DEBRA

Our after-show collection raised just under £1000! We topped it up to a round grand and this year the charitable organisation we're presenting the money too is DEBRA - an amazing charity helping individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa. Here's Olivia (Aladdin) and Bethany (Slave of the Ring) presenting the mahoosive cheque. A million thanks to everyone who reached into their pockets - awesome.

2014 - Donation to Olly Reid

We had an astonishing result with the collection this year - £1,335! That’s nearly double what we’ve collected in previous years. The audience’s generosity was overwhelming and all the money raised helped towards getting 2-year-old Olly Reid a Kidwalk. This should help cerebral palsy-sufferer Olly gain some much-needed mobility. Thanks to everyone - amazing kindness, thank you, thank you, thank you.

2013 - Donation to Active Games for All (AGFA).

Our charity collection came to nearly £800 and the representatives from Active Games for All (AGFA) were delighted with the cheque presented to them by some of our junior chorus during the Talented Youth Concert. Well done everyone! Verwood should see its multi-use games area (MUGA) up and running soon enough - woohoo!
